MTA Partners With Golden Krust to Promote End of the Metro Card

Offer valid in-store only at participating locations below while supplies last.

The era of the Metro Card in NYC is over.

Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant has partnered with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in their months-long celebration designed to honor the legacy of the MetroCard while ushering riders into the era of tapping.

For a limited time only, in-store only, at participating restaurants, with purchase of Golden Krust’s signature Jamaican-style patty, customers will receive a free Jamaican coco bread.

“For more than three decades, Golden Krust and the MetroCard have each played a vital role in moving New York forward — connecting people, communities, and cultures,” said Golden Krust Vice President of Marketing Steven Clarke. “We’re proud to honor two NYC icons — the MetroCard and the Jamaican patty — symbols of the vibrant mix of cultures that make this city one of a kind. To mark the occasion, we’re offering a free coco bread with the purchase of any patty at participating NYC Golden Krust restaurants — a small thank-you to the city that’s fueled our journey.”
