GK Mt. Vernon Gives Out 700 Meals
As part of our 35 Years: 35 Deeds Campaign, Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant is giving back to the communities that have made our 35 years of success possible. As most of our restaurants are owned by Franchisees, these are small business owners giving back to their customers and communities.
On Sunday, November 24th, Mount Vernon (NY) Franchisee, Sandra Pitter Bryan, provided 700 free meals to the Mount Vernon community. Guests who visited the location prior to the day of the event were able to pick up a ticket (free of charge) to come back on Sunday for a free meal. Meal options included Curried Goat, Jerk Chicken, BBQ Chicken, Turkey, and a Vegetarian meal. In attendance to show support for the event was Mount Vernon Mayor, Shawyn Patterson-Howard. The event was also featured on News 12 Westchester.
