Christopher Martin Appearing at Bronx Grand Opening

Reggae Star Headlines Hub Opening Festivities
Known for his songs “Cheaters Prayer” and “I’m a Big Deal,” Christopher Martin is a staple in Jamaican Entertainment. It makes perfect sense then that he will host the Grand Opening Celebration for Jamaican food staple Golden Krust, and their new 149th Street location in the South Bronx.

Live music from Steel Sensation, free samples of patties and jerk chicken, free samples of coconut water from our friends at Vita Coco, a DJ playing the latest hits, and special community guests make this festival a big deal! Mark your calendar for July 1st.

149th Street is the self-proclaimed Hub of the South Bronx. The thriving center of shopping and travel welcomed the newest Golden Krust franchise to the corner of 149th and Courtlandt Avenue. The first of its kind for Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant, this location operates on a pay-per-pound buffet model, allowing customers to customize their portions, budget, and flavor combinations to an unprecedented degree. Open 7 AM until 10 PM Monday to Saturday and 8 AM to 9 PM on Sunday, Golden Krust 149th Street is also available for delivery on Uber EatsDoorDash, and Grubhub. With the opening of 149th Street, franchisees Marcia Hawthorne and Shawn Ffrench now own and operate a staggering eight Golden Krust Restaurants!
