Caribbean Music Awards Return to Brooklyn
The Caribbean Music Awards were back in full force last night at Kings Theatre in the Little Caribbean section of Brooklyn (click here to watch). Music industry heavyweights were on hand to celebrate our culture, music, and food. In addition to having our logo depicted on the red carpet and in sponsorship mentions during the event, Golden Krust patties were also made available for sale at concessions.
The event itself was hosted by Majah Hype and Spice. Awards presenters included iconic figures such as Shaggy and Wyclef Jean. Honorary achievement awards were presented to Marcia Griffiths, Alison Hinds, and Cedella Marley.
Modern music mainstays such as Alaine, Christopher Martin, Dexta Daps, Lead Pipe, Lyrikal, Morgan Heritage, Nadine Sutherland, Nailah Blackman, Pressure, Sherwin Gardner, and TeeJay were all on hand in support.
