In 1989, Lowell Hawthorne, along with his wife Lorna, four of his siblings and their spouses, pooled all of their resources to open the first Golden Krust restaurant on East Gun Hill Road in the Bronx, New York...

Excellent food! I had the braised oxtail, rice and peas, cabbage, and sweet plantains. It was delicious food and service was very good. The employees were extremely helpful and explained every dish and were very friendly.

Wow! Wow! Wow! This is unbelievable that I have lived in Bergenfield and seen this place and never went there to eat. Hands down! Food is amazing! This is such a clean restaurant you see it from the moment u walk in. Behind the back line it is extremely clean. The team is consistently wiping down and making sure all is spotless. This is how restaurants should maintain their place clean. My husband and I had oxtail and rice with peas and the Mac and cheese. This was perfectly cooked taste on point .. love love this place.
