Golden Krust Donates 500 Patties to Community Help in Park Slope
As part of our 35 Years: 35 Deeds Campaign, Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant is giving back to the communities that have made our 35 years of success possible. As most of our restaurants are owned by Franchisees, these are small business owners giving back to their customers and communities.
This week, Golden Krust donated over 500 patties to Community Help in Park Slope (CHiPS). The donation will allow hundreds of Brooklyn residents in need to savor the flavor of Jamaica this holiday season. We had the opportunity to speak with Pauline Auguste and Peter Endriss of CHiPS as well as Steven Clarke, Vice President of Marketing for Golden Krust about the organization and the donation (video above).
Founded over 50 years ago, CHiPS is a soup kitchen, food pantry, and shelter for women with young children. The building is on 4th Avenue, right between Park Slope and Gowanus in Brooklyn. Their mission is two fold: to ameliorate food insecurity and homelessness in New York City. With their soup kitchen and food pantry open six days a week, CHiPS serves as a beacon of hope to thousands of our friends and neighbors in need, and their success comes from people like you. Supporters and volunteers keep the doors open, the meals hot, and the food plenty.
